Neither snow nor sleet nor rain will keep a handful of St. Agnes Academy families from their appointed duties! Thank you so much to the families who took time out of their busy schedules to take on Mother Nature and work on school grounds beautification projects. What could have been a disaster turned into a morning of community building as parents and students worked together, played together and yes, ate pizza together! A special thanks to Jason Tritle for providing the equipment and a whole lot of time. Thanks also to Tom Romick and Dick Foland for helping us out and offering much needed advice. What a blessing to have the opportunity to watch good people do good things.
Nuts & Bolts
The K, 1st and 2nd grades will celebrate Mass in the chapel Wednesday beginning at 9:00. The 1st grade is doing the planning.
Miss Kloch would like to thank all the volunteers who helped clean up the gym after the spring program. She would also like to thank all the parents who support the music program at St. Agnes Academy. It would not be a success without you!!
A big thank you goes out to all the people who donated money and time to the marathon dance. The students had a wonderful time and we raised $965.00, enough to move the hand bell fundraising to the halfway mark. Thanks to everyone for their generosity!
The Parents Inc. Board plans to meet tonight, May 13th in the parish board room. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm.
The Inc Spot will be serving lunch this Thursday, May 15th as Pat out. The lunch will cost $2.00. This includes pizza, carrots and celery, cookies and milk. Seconds will cost an added $1.00. Please bring your money on Thursday to take with you to the gym. Yes, candy will be for sale at the Inc. Spot following the meal.
Noteworthy
With the 8th grade graduation only a few days away, it seems most appropriate to pay tribute to this year’s St. Agnes Academy 8th grade class. While there have been days that I have wondered about these students, the truth is they are some of the nicest young people I have every had the pleasure to get to know. I wish Bridget Ackerman, Angelica Adamson, Broc Anderson, Maggie Imig, Adrian Madero, Molly McGhehey, Lauren Moller, Nick Pollack and Daniel Thomas all that is good in life. I know each of you has so much to offer this world. Good luck and God bless you.

The following students received awards from the American Legion Auxiliary in this year’s Americanism Essay Writing Contest; Ellie Applegarth, Larissa Price, Kacey Horn, Parker Cyza, Joelle Thomas, and Kendra Friesz. Way to go, writers!

Mr. Glesinger wishes to thank Charlie and Willie Krantz for helping at the track meets during this year’s track meet season.
Our final day of school will be Thursday, May 22nd. Students will be dismissed at 12:00noon. No lunch will be served. Students and families are invited to attend the end of the year school Mass scheduled for Friday, May 23rd to begin at 10:00am in the Holy Rosary Church. A small awards ceremony will be held following the Mass. The St. Agnes Academy School Board will be hosting their annual end of year picnic immediately following the awards ceremony in the church. The picnic will be held in the parish gym. Parents Inc. will be hosting an end of the year summer reading book sale in the gym. See you there!
Report cards will be sent through the mail during the week of May 27th.
