Mrs. Jan holz is a a graduate of Alliance High School and Chadron State College. She majored in elementary education with a minor in psychology and has enough extra hours for a PhD! Mrs. Holz has taught 4th grade in Valley NE., Kindergarten in Ewing NE and Clearwater NE. Along with substituting in Alliance and Hemingford Public Schools and third grade at SAA.  Mrs. Holz is presently the 5th grade science, language arts, social studies and reading. Along with teaching 6th and 8th grade science.

Mrs. Holz is a  member of St. John's Lutheran Church and on the board of the Alliance Arts Council.

Her husband Bill is retired from BNSF.They have Three children:Daughter Dana,  son Niklaus who lives in Grand Island, and son Ryan and his wife Jennifer who live in Sheridan, Wyoming.
