Jenell Martinez is the first grade teacher at St. Agnes Academy. Mrs. Martinez has
been teaching since 1999. She taught All-day Kindergarten her first year in Edgemont,
SD. She moved back to Alliance and has taught at St. Agnes every since>S he is married
to her husband Mick. They have two sons; Rob and his wife Cathie have two daughters.
Rick lives in Lincoln and works as a mechanical engineering technician for Davis
Design. Mrs. Martinez truly enjoys working at St. Agnes she believes the family atmosphere
helps the school run smoothly. Mrs. Martinez is involved in activities besides being
the first grade teacher she is the co-director of the spring musical with Miss Kloch.
Another extra curricular event Mrs. Martinez helped coordinate was Students for Recycling
in our Schools> Last spring the school participated in a contest for collecting the
most number 1 plastics in a three month period, The school did a wonderful job recycling
number 1 plastics and we will find out on September 21st how well we did competing
against other schools our size.
